Do your songs lack cover art? do you feel annoyed to have to start at a generic file icon while other people’s media players or MP3 playing devices display glorious, colorful cover art? This software can help.
Creevity MP3 Cover Downloader is a free software that can scan your folders for MP3 files and process them through a simple interface in order to add cover art for each song quickly and easily.
Relevant album art is obtained from several locations on the internet, and the user is able to save the correct artwork to the MP3 file itself.
There are many ways to fix and obtain cover art for your library. MP3Tag, for example can help you download and manage cover art (as well as fix audio tags in general), while Album Art Downloader can provide quick browsing for album art via the right click context menu. Moreover, these days most self-respecting music players download album art for you.
But I will say this: the way Creevity MP3 Cover Downloader is designed, in my opinion, makes it very well suited for collections of individual unrelated MP3s rather than albums (although it can handle those as well).
PROS:

The verdict: if you need software than can help add cover art to your audio library, this will prove a very useful tool. As previously noted, it is very good when adding artwork to a huge collection of individual mixed mp3s; howeverI would not necessarily use it exclusively, as I believe other tools (mentioned above) are better suited for managing albums.
Version Tested: 1.3.3
Compatibility: Windows 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7.
Go to the program home page to download the latest version (approx 1.22 megs).
You can also download it here via Brothersoft.

PROS:
- Wizard Style Interface: makes it easy to process a folder or MP3s quickly, making quick cover art decisions.
- Offers several options: of cover art to choose from. Can also load a local image if you have one.
- Saves cover art inside the file: rather than somewhere in the folder. Compatible with iTunes, WMP, and other common players.
CONS:
- Duplication: in case of albums. Ten tracks in an album/folder will generate 10 different searches, one by one, and require the same artwork decision administered ten times.
- Tries to change your browser home page: on install. Can be prevented by unchecking the option in the installer. Unfortunate decision on their part.
Wish list:
- The ability to enquire further about an image: to zoom in, for example, and to be able to open the source where it was found. This can help the user investigate
- A right click context menu: to quickly add cover art to a file, would be great.
- Should ask you if you want to avoid files that already have cover art from being loaded.
- Should scan to see if other MP3s in the folder belong to the same album as the current file, and ask you if you want to add the current coverart to all of them and skip ahead.
